my religion

i was looking at a buddy’s blog, and he had his results of this quiz. so i decided to see what kind of religion i fit into….. well well, i’m 79% christian…. oh wait, i’m also 58% pagan…. the quiz is a little skewed, and really isn’t clever about it’s questions at all. it is actually blatantly obvious what religion each question is asking about. oh well….

this is what it said….

You scored as Christianity. Your views are most similar to those of Christianity. Do more research on Christianity and possibly consider being baptized and accepting Jesus, if you aren’t already Christian.

Christianity is the second of the Abrahamic faiths; it follows Judaism and is followed by Islam. It differs in its belief of Jesus, as not a prophet nor historical figure, but as God in human form. The Holy Trinity is the concept that God takes three forms: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost (sometimes called Holy Spirit). Jesus taught the idea of instead of seeking revenge, one should love his or her neighbors and enemies. Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to save humankind and forgive people’s sins.

blank cue cards

have you ever thought about a moment. i’ve been thinking about moments for the last couple of weeks. partly because i’ve been trying to re-work my philosophy around shooting weddings. i need a reason to. a moment, unlike time, only lasts…. well, a moment. now. time seems more like an infinite notion. moments (and i guess in hindsight, memories) are what shape us. you make a decision in a moment, a thought, a choice. they directly affect what happens next. and sure, over time that moment evolves, but it started what came next. we can’t take it back, we can’t change it, we can’t go back. and in someways that’s the beauty of a moment… it’s frozen there… only to be looked back upon. to be pondered over. ya, ya, i know. this whole notion of a moment seems way to romantic for this asain boy to be writing about. but the more i think about it, the more it works for me. it sure works for weddings. i’ve never been one to take a chance on things. but ever since europe, i’ve gained an overwhelming curiosity to know what a moment has instore. what it looks like on the other side. i don’t really know where that leaves me… a hopeless romantic, with blank que cards to write. hopefully this new curiosity works in some good. hopefully i don’t make a fool of myself while trying to keep up with george. i do know that the best moments are the subtle ones. the ones that we just catch. a single word, the slightest touch, a fleeting smile. revel in those momens, they’re only ever there for a second.
