ellipsis…

life seems to play like a movie in my head. like the beginning of a screen play. i usually don’t get passed the first three pages, maybe the first scene. i usually catch myself day dreaming before i get any further in the story.

i think i’ve always had a vivid imagination. as a kid i’d dream up stories and then start to act them out while i walked home from school. i’m sure people driving passed me though i was insane. really i’m not. now a days, i feel that most of my ideas should be written down somewhere. i’ve tried to keep them all in my head but i tend to forget them.

i wish i could act on more of them. i really need to act on more of them. i don’t know why any of you would really care about this, but i’m writing it anyways. just thoughts…

this has been a long time coming, but we finally did it. since steve and i have been back from italy (almost a year ago now) we’ve wanted to make a true tuscan meal for our friends. tonight was our first crack at it. this is what we came up with…

Primi Piatti – Frito Misto with Basil Aioli (we kind of drowned it in the aioli… oops)

everything above was home made. i think we hit up 7 stores to find it all, and prepped for something like 5 hours. we were cooking on the fly to make sure everything was fresh. gotta say thanks to my mom for helping out so much. all in all, the night was a HIT. and the food was fabulous! turned out way better than i could ever expect. thanks for everyone who came out. don’t worry, i’m sure we will be doing it all over again soon….
