BCFW Spring 2010 – Opening Gala
BC Fashion Week Spring 2010 started this evening with an opening gala at John Fluevog’s Gastown store, though the man himself didn’t show. things started off with some caperiora, a couple of fantastic appetizers, and cocktails. Esile Estrada stopped by the party as well.

weddings are back!
and this time they have their very own site. i decided to launch a separate wedding website for couples who are interested in booking me for their wedding, and people who just like my wedding work. i have cut down my wedding work substantially, as some of you know, but every wedding i have shot lately has pleasantly surprised me with the images i’ve created. most of that is thanks to my gorgeous brides and willing bridal parties who do the crazy things i suggest. i have also increasingly seen people searching for my wedding work, so hopefully this will give them a place to rest their eyes. enjoy.

it’s been a while since i’ve found an image that makes me stop in my tracks. an image that i can’t stop staring at. the blog Calikartel features some of the best fashion photographers in the business. mostly they post images from specific fashion campaigns. today they posted a personal series from photographer Will Davidson. this image stopped me dead in my tracks… it is gorgeous, yet simple. cold, yet expressive. strong, yet elegant. it is just brilliant! i’m drawn to it. so much so, i emailed Will to see if i could buy a print of it from him. this image is ridiculously inspirational.

received an email back from Will. super nice of him to reply so quickly. he does sell prints, but as to be expected they are fairly expensive. time to start saving my pennies.
Evaan Kheraj on Heather Morton’s Blog
Heather Morton has a segment on her blog ever week (i think) featuring a photographer called The Lounge. this week she’s featuring a fantastic Vancouver fashion photographer, Evaan Kheraj. it’s always great to see Vancouver talent recognized internationally. his work is great, and to be featured on HMAb is a huge deal in the industry.
Here is the video of Evaan’s book that Heather posted. great book buy the way! here is the full post and interview.
